Elegantly crafted with every attention to detail in order to drape and flow over your curves with grace. Using only the finest silks, our Atabey Cape was hand-painted in an ancient lost wax process called Batik, by skilled artisans in Bali. The art is a take on Atabey, a goddess praised by the Taino Indian culture of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands. She represents the consciousness of mother earth, fertility, and creating life anew! It's to be worn like a layering piece that can go over your favorite tank, jeans and boots, or worn nicely over a lil slip dress. Definitely a statement piece, be prepared to share the story on the art and symbol as you walk around town with this piece. Because these pieces are hand painted and dyed using non - toxic dyes, there may be slight differences from piece to piece, and slight variations in color, these are not to be considered flaws and should more so be revered for the artistry, patience and skill in creating each piece!
